Achmea-Netherlands implements AOV (Arbeidsonges-chiktheids-verzekering) insurance based on Faktor-IPS

With the beginning of September 2020, Achmea, the Netherlands largest insurer went live with their new “AOV Insurance i.e Employment Disability” for customers allowing them to quickly respond to their Insurance needs.

Tilburg/Munich, 12th October 2021. Achmea is now offering online calculation of AOV Insurance products using Faktor-IPS as part of Achmea’s target architecture. The new Achmea architecture includes Faktor-IPS as new calculation engine for some of its insurance products. Faktor-IPS was also integrated successfully with SAP FS-PM policy administration system.
After a successful Proof of Concept (PoC), Achmea decided to use Faktor-IPS as basis for their new IT developments. Faktor Zehn did a complex integration within the SAP Policy architecture. With its go-live, the solution fits very well when it comes to the Performance in calculating complex premiums for its customers. Scenario based calculations can be done now in milli seconds, which was initially more than few minutes.

With their proficiency in core insurance IT solutions paired with expertise in the P&C LOB, Faktor Zehn supported Achmea to also integrate Product engine Faktor-IPS with existing SAP Policy admin system i.e FS-PM, using Faktor-IPS adapter. This in turn saved costs for Achmea and increased speed to Market while fitting to the Achmea IT architecture.
